No more #MOMBIE- Le-vel THRIVE WORKS!

So I started Thriving 8 weeks ago.. and I love it.  3 steps, all done in the first 30 min of the day!   2 Capsules, a shake 30 min later and a patch that goes on your body for 24 hours.   I upgraded to the DUO patches- 2 patches that have more product and it bigger.  That. is. it!  Everyone reacts differently.. for me-- instant energy!    The first night I was wide awake until midnight feeling GREAT!     Then on day 2, I quit coffee completely?   I didn't need it...  and now my husband was pissed the Coffee Fairy stopped coming at 5:30am. Here are all of my amazing symptoms on the Le-Vel Thrive 3 step system:  Bloat immediately went away I lost a pant size in 7 days.    I lost 2.5 pant sizes in 8 weeks Energy from 4:45am - 10pm No crashing in the afternoon (no other caffeine needed) No need to snack at all in the day Not hungry much!  I crave salads and sandwiches I sleep HARDE...

Fall Yoga Retreat at Sequoia Lake - NinjaMom Hacks

Sequoia Lake hosted the 1st ever Yoga Retreat last weekend (9/15) and it was pretty damn awesome. It was held at camp TQ and over 100 people showed up to Yoga & Meditate away the weekend. Here are my tidbits: First up: accommodations: 1) It's Glamping at it's finest.  Each cabin does NOT have a heater, but has electrical outlets.  1 queen size bed + bunk beds... which are not all that comfortable.  I would suggest a gel topper (like the ones Costco has) or a Twin air mattress to put on top of the 2 inch cot thing... would make your stay more comfortable. 2) Coffee... if you are a snob... bring a Keriug!   In fact, you can't go wrong bringing in a SMALL table and setting up a full on breakfast bar.  BE SURE to bring Air Tight igloo's!  Bears love food!  So.. keep it locked up!     Breakfast is served at 8am which is WAY too late,  yoga starts at 6:15am... and we were dying by 7:30...    hence the need for your ...

My 6 year old got his Tonsils and Adenoids out... remarkably he never needed meds!

Here was our journey, as you know every kid is different.. but hopefully you will get some insight. 10am report time to surgery center.  Procedure took 30 minutes. Our doctor was Dr. Brent Lanier, Clovis/Fresno California (the best from what I heard from many people) They would not let us see him until he started to wake up, and I saw why with other kids-  they still have all the stuff hooked up to them with breathing masks on... it can be traumatic to see. When Aidan initially woke up he was a mess, crying and silently screaming..mouth open and upset.  I picked him up and held him and he was not OK.    Nurses told me it was the coming out of the sleep and being disoriented (affects of the drugs). Within 10 minutes of what seemed to be agony, my husband noticed bright red blood on his inner corner of the mouth.  He quickly called the nurse over.  She brought Dr. Lanier over and they saw a small bleed.   He quickly decided to go back into...

The NinjaMom's guide to a Princess Alaska cruise with kids!

I took my 7 year old and 3 year old up to Anchorage Alaska and boarded the Coral Princess Ship in Whittier- we spent 7 days going southbound to Vancouver.   Here is all of my tidbits... the good and the bad: Lets start with the good: 1) The bed is the MOST comfortable thing ever!  I wanted to take it home, my happy place was IN BED on the boat!  They even have a flyer that talks about the amazing mattresses!   (on my Christmas list) 2) Nature!  Princess does the nature of Alaska right!  The Naturalist on board (Gloeta) was amazing.  The ship brought on Rangers in Glacier Bay National Park (Where only 2 boats get to enter a day and very FEW companies have access to this National Park) there were many bridge wildlife talks, and lectures on Glaciers and Whales.   Princess does an amazing job on bringing Alaska alive to you!   (No, you do NOT need a balcony.  I had a window, and it was perfect on deck 5.   If you can affor...

Disney vs Princess Alaskan Cruise with Kids, the truth in comparison

There is no comparison, no way!  I will not do it... this is apples to oranges.   The big question in deciding is.. What are your "non-negotiables"?  What are you trying to get out of an Alaskan cruise? You need to fall into one of these categories for you to chose which company to go with: 1) Are you all about nature?  Do you want to dive into Alaska and immerse yourself in it?  Do your kids love nature and want to be Junior Rangers?  Do you love to CHILL and relax and be at rest for 7 days where CALM is the tone? 2) Are you all about Food, family bonding, and doing activities?   Do you LOVE food, and demand good food at all times, especially dining together at dinner over the 3 course meal?  Do you want numerous things to do together and separately every hour you are awake?   Do you want an upbeat scene with dancing, music, and bustling activity? Go with Princess if you chose #1 Go with Disney if you chose #2 Princess caters to...

Anchorage with kids...cool town, amazing science discovery center, and the People Mover

We kicked off our Alaskan cruise with 3 days in ANC, and I fell in love with the town.   Here are my tidbits: I did NOT have a car (I did not want to travel with car seats for 10 days--I traveled alone with my 2 kids while my husband was on a deployment). Use the People Mover- the bus system. (See photo below) Google Maps tells you exactly what to do.  For a few bucks you get around.   Go Google Maps!!!!      Stay downtown!  Do not stay in MID TOWN, midtown is 5 miles inland away from the cute downtown.    If you do stay in Mid town, then chose a hotel next to the People Mover bus stops!!!!   I had a half mile walk each time we used the bus.   So go ahead and Google Maps the People Mover stops, then you will see the hotels next to the stops!  This will save you 20 minutes of walking (and worrying a moose may sneak up on you LOL).    I believe a Hilton Garden Inn was next to a stop.    The Alaska Museu...
