My guide to Paso Robles with a wine driver!

Step 1:  book Ron @  http://www.mywinedriver.com/contactus.html HE drives YOUR car!!  And he takes you around to where ever you want to go!!!   AND he is reasonably priced! Ron met us at our hotel (The Oaks Hotel), and we left from there. He took us first to Venteux- it was amazing!   Seriously, there was no going "up" from there.   We loved it so much 2 of us became members. We then hit up Eberle (EAST side, don't do it)- has a great VIEW but OK wine.  We sat and enjoyed lunch but realized we should have stayed on the WEST side. Then Halter Ranch & Justin were our last stops, both were amazing. Ron knew where to go and what we liked.  He did an excellent job taking us places that he knew we would like. Ron had us back to the hotel with a grand total of $42 each!  He is based on time and # of people in the vehicle.    He is a great conversation and really laid back. We never felt rushed and his driving skills were impressive  I could tell he was safe and

How to survive Swim Meets without Alcohol...

I am not going to lie...  if you can smuggle in some champagne and OJ, props to you!   Swim meets are NOT fun... especially if you live where we do- in 100+ degree weather. Your packing list: 1) a Pop up Canopy (EZ UP) 2) chairs 3) 5+ towels 4) blankets that go on the ground (will get dirty) 5) Wagon 6) Igloo (square) that fits in the wagon.  You will use the wagon as an end table with the igloo as a table and drink holder 7) spray bottle with fans or the ARTIC COVE Misting Bucket system 8) Food 9) WATER! 10) those cooling towels (Walmart). 11) YOUR swimsuit-  so you can "accidentally" fall in the pool. 12) toys for smaller children to play with (or pay the babysitter to keep them home). We also brought 2 smaller shade tent things (costco) for the kids- half dome thing $40.  We put the kid chairs inside that for the children's area.  See below for the photo! IDEA: combine with parents to build a small city. We have 3 Pop ups PLUS 2 kid ones... for a 20+

Ninja Mom's guide to Las Vegas- no kids!

1) Remember that village I told you that you NEED.  Well we dropped the kids off with my BFF for the weekend and we flew to Vegas for nephew's wedding.  The wedding was Friday night. 2) Saturday:  We got up- walked the strip, had breakfast at our Hash House a Go Go (tradition), then walked... walked a ton.   I took my Back2Mac stuff to the MAC store for my FREE eyeshadows :) 3) nap time :)  UBER'd back to hotel.  (timeshare off strip) 4) got ready for the night.   Ghostbar was Plan A, then we ended up at Hakkasan- see my other blog please! 5) We love the Linq Promenade... In n Out, and a Piano Bar in Harrahs... draft selections at the various bars.    Then we went to Bellagio to have dessert as we watched the fountains. 6) GhostBar - the view alone is worth it! 7) we slept in...  never get to do that!   Then headed to the airport and hung there fore 4 hours-  ate a great lunch and had a beer.  Read magazines, took a nap...  then on the plane back to Fresno. Ninja Mom's Guide to Hakkasan @ MGM Grand vs Ghostbar @ Palms

Are you a mom?  Do you like going to sleep at a decent hour and waking up early?  If so... keep reading.  (Everyone else, stop here... you can hang LOL) Do you like 10,000 people in a club? Do you like paying $50-$100 for your husband to get in, you are free? Do you like club music with NO place to sit?  And you like dancing in the hallways? Do you like paying $25 per drink?  (Cosmo = $23   Manhatten= $24) Seriously- hit up a "non cool" club- like Ghostbar and skip this one. @Hakkasan my husband was sooo pissed- no place to sit, unless you have the $750 for table service.   $1000 in the main room. Calvin Harris was going to DJ at 1:00am, but we were SOOOO over it, we left.  A friend got us on the Hakkasan guest list-- so we paid the $50 to get him in. Then 2 drinks later-  we are at a $100 for the night @Hakkasan.   All that money to stand... and dance (which was cool)-  and then  "this is stupid" my husband kept repeating.  No room on the dance floors-

Potty Training in 3 days- the Ninja Mom Way...

Ok follow these steps- (Which is the BABY WISE Potty training method) and you will never buy diapers again.. 1) Chose a weekend (pref a 3 day weekend).   Nothing can be going on that weekend... literally... you will be on lockdown for 2-3 days.  No cell phone, no computers, NOTHING!  You will be monitoring your child next to him for 2-3 days straight! 2) Wait until your tot is able to rationalize this whole thing.  So many want to start at 2 years 3 mo, etc.  That's crap.. I potty trained at 2 years 10mo with both my boys-- we had meaningful conversations like "Hey,  you want to be done with diapers?"   "Are you ready to pee/poop in the toilet?"  They were able to successfully communicate and understand what was going to happen. 3) This whole thing starts 7-14 days before.  You get them psyched about the last day they will be in a diaper.  You mention them becoming a big boy/girl on ___ day when they start potty training. 4) The night before you start yo
