If you have booked at Now Jade- here are my tidbits:
(For my FULL review of the resort- go back to my blog: http://ninjamomhacks.blogspot.com/ )
Ninja mom hacks
- Put your room key into small bag (Cosmetics bag)- it just needs to be waved in front of the door, no need to pull it out. So just wave the entire bag in front of the door- easy way to always find your key! I kept dollar bills and the key in the bag.
- Order creamer from room service night before - make coffee in the morning.
- Room service averages 40 minutes.
- Jetted tub. Plan accordingly and enjoy!
- Bring bath toys for kids. My kids spent tons of time in the large jetted heaven.
- No drawer space. Only shelves in closet. Finding a place for all our clothing was tough. I left kids clothing in suitcase near the bed.
- Bring inflatables for pools! (think large whale for kids to play on)
- Fold out sofa bed SUCKS. It's bad. I don't wish anyone to sleep there. Keep it as sofa for your kid. Ask for additional cot that has real mattress for the 2nd kid.
- Bring Starbucks sleeves (brown cardboard things) for espresso bar- they make HOT coffee and no sleeves. Wonderful espresso!
- No place to eat in the room- no dining room table. (but room service sucks anyways).
- Open all restaurants at 5:30pm for dinner- they are small and fill up quickly. Best food on site are the restaurants. If you wait- you may have a 60 min wait time to eat dinner.
- Kids have iPads? Bring extension cord. They can rest on beds as you put iPad to charge close to them on sofa.
- There is a safe to lock up valuables. Easy to use. I stored our passports/DSLR there.
- Robes in closet.
- Check in takes over 1 hour... no joke. You meet with different people, who all will try to sell you excursions, spa time, etc. Just prepare for a full on experience to get to your room. They also make you meet with the transportation people the next day to figure out the ride back- it's a sales ploy for excursions- don't do it.
Ninja Moms- bring these:
Tide, double the amount of socks and underwear, pool inflatables, a coffee cup sleeve (steal some from Starbucks), lots of dollar bills, bath toys for the huge tub your kids will love.
