Legoland Mommy Ninja Hacks-- 5 year old & 1 year old”

Yes, you want to go to Legoland!
5 of 5 stars
-We did a ton of "Divide and Conquer" - the little one can't do much in Legoland. WE love the WATERPARK!

-Parking is $15 OUCH! But... You get a free Shutterfly Book coupon!

-Get there at 9am. The park opens in waves, so be there at 8:45am to get the best parking spots and NO line to pay for parking. You can get through the turnstiles
right at 9am. Head right and there is one small land and one
ride open (Ninjango). No lines that early. Take the little one to the Duplo build room across the way.

-Then at 9:30 the Duplo side opens and you can walk through
there. BUT YOU NEED A PHOTO... come back outside (exit gates
with stamp) to the family picture in front of the Legoland sign. That's the
photo you want! So come back outside find the photographer and They
will give you a wristband to scan for all of your photos that day. We
went ahead and paid $50 dollars for the digital package. We got all of
our photos in my email. 66 photos total for both days. There are photo ops all over the park, just scan your wristband each time - they will be added to your account.

-Then head back into Duploland where the 1 year old will have a BLAST! This is pretty much the only "land" built for toddlers.

-At 9:55am, be in line outside Duploland to enter the Back Side that opens at 10am!
Both days I was the first one in the waterpark. (Husband took boys to go play more in Legoland and I ran to the Waterpark). Go and find the best seat
you can find. And park everything there. Leave everything you do not
care about to save your spot. (Towels on chairs. Bring clips. Bags.
Water shoes. Leave it all out like you own those chairs). Then I head back out
into Legoland and do a few things with the boys. We stay inside
Legoland, until it starts getting pretty busy and the sun comes out.
The sun did not come out for us until 1 PM. Right when the sun comes
out then we had back the waterpark to our seats and stay at the waterpark till
about three or four. Everyone starts to leave early. And that's when we
got on most of the rides.

-We went last Wednesday (JUNE 8TH) and walked onto everything. The longest wait was about three minutes. But then on Friday it was way busier we waited 15
minutes for one of the coasters. I honestly like the waterpark better
than I do the actual Legoland.
-The food inside Legoland is now amazing. I was so impressed with
everything we ate. My suggestion is just order the kids meals. The kids
meals come with a ton of food. And for $8.50 you get A fruit, chips a
entrée and a drink. They have a lot of fresh salad type places. A lot
of different varieties of food. I thought the pizza was good. But my
favorite was the turkey wrap inside the waterpark.

BUDGET HINTS:
-bring all food. I brought a bunch of snacks. They say you can't bring food in but people are bringing in thermoses and And wagons of food.
-WATER, WATER, water! WE brought our Camelbaks and also those BRITA waterbottles that have the filter right in the spout. Fill'em up at the water fountains- free :)

-Kids meals, best deal
-Kids eat FREE for dinner, deals all over the park
-$50 digital photo package, w/2 prints. I got 66 photos to my email for $50! Hello Shutterfly books (free w/parking pass).

I suggest you shop if you want to buy stuff early in the morning. You
have a package pick up service. So you buy everything in the morning
when it's not crowded in the stores, and have it sent up to the front
and at the end the day you pick up your packages---really cool

-They have parent swap on every ride. Very accommodating if you have a tot who isn't tall enough to ride. As you all wait in line just let the attendant know, they allow the older kid to ride TWICE while they swap parents :)

We just got back yesterday, if you have any questions, ask away :)

Disneyland in the Rain with kids- here is your Ninja packing list:

Rainy days are the BEST days to go--- no lines- literally you can walk on to everything!   How to do Disney in the rain: 1) Everyone in 2 layers.   (thermal for kids) 2) Ponchos for the adults!    $5 at Walmart!  Buy an extra for the stroller- cover it well when you have it parked.  3)  Towels- when rides are wet and you are NOT because of your 2 layers and poncho, you don't want to get wet right?!   So put the towel down and sit on it.  4) Mattress waterproof crib pads- to cover legs of kid in stroller!    You see the purple rain boots- those are my 4 year olds.   Mattress pad (the baby ones at Walmart that fit a crib) over his legs.  Poncho on top. 5) Waterproof shoes for ALL!   (double socks) 6) a GOOD Weather app that tells you when RAIN is going to start.   We figured out the heavy rain was coming at 11am-2pm--so we left to take naps during that time.  7) Change of clothing- in case you get too wet. 8) a GREAT attitude of adventure.  You will get wet.. you will.

The NinjaMom's guide to a Princess Alaska cruise with kids!

I took my 7 year old and 3 year old up to Anchorage Alaska and boarded the Coral Princess Ship in Whittier- we spent 7 days going southbound to Vancouver.   Here is all of my tidbits... the good and the bad: Lets start with the good: 1) The bed is the MOST comfortable thing ever!  I wanted to take it home, my happy place was IN BED on the boat!  They even have a flyer that talks about the amazing mattresses!   (on my Christmas list) 2) Nature!  Princess does the nature of Alaska right!  The Naturalist on board (Gloeta) was amazing.  The ship brought on Rangers in Glacier Bay National Park (Where only 2 boats get to enter a day and very FEW companies have access to this National Park) there were many bridge wildlife talks, and lectures on Glaciers and Whales.   Princess does an amazing job on bringing Alaska alive to you!   (No, you do NOT need a balcony.  I had a window, and it was perfect on deck 5.   If you can afford it, great.. but I chose to spend more money on excur

My Do's and Don'ts: Great Wolf Lodge Anaheim, Ca (you can bring wine)

**I get nothing for this post, I paid full price for our room. You know me, I am all about giving advice when traveling...  I hope this is helpful: July 5-7 we were at the 2nd Happiest Place in Anaheim, Great Wolf Lodge (GWL).  Holiday weekend, you would think to steer clear...NOPE!    Do it!!!!!! .. this is a GREAT vacation! Imagine a large hotel room (we upgraded to the bunk bed cabin style for the kids).  They get own section of the room in a themed bunk bed with own TV (it's a BUNK bed, just do it).    Imagine a HUGE water park with lots to do, and not long lines... because only those staying at the hotel can go to the water park.. the longest line we waited in for a tube slide was 10 minutes.    They  have a lagoon area for the tiny tots, a HUGE play slide area for the pre-schoolers, and the rest for big kids (48inches) and bigger.     Money saving tip-  get the cheaper room, and book 60+ days in advance.  I found rates for $175 a night!   That is half what I paid!
